Albert Einstein, Marie Curie and Nikola Tesla Kick Off New Line of Inspiring Historical Figures

QUEBEC CITY, CANADA (November 14, 2018) – The greatest scientists in history are making a comeback! The creators behind the popular online arts community, Today Is Art Day are proud to introduce The Historical Figures, a new line of charming figurines featured in the community’s latest Kickstarter campaign.

The new collection boasts an all-star lineup featuring the father of modern science, Albert Einstein, two-time Nobel prize winner, Marie Curie and electricity pioneer Nikola Tesla.

The creators are now seeking funding through Kickstarter for this new line with a goal of $30,000 CAD before December 9: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/todayisartday/albert-einstein-marie-curie-and-nikola-tesla

Travel back in time with an Augmented Reality App

This project also includes the development of an Augmented Reality App that will allow the customer to travel back in time to visit a room of significance for each character.

Using a smartphone or tablet, this AR portal will transport the user into a room that has been meticulously recreated based on archival images. Clickable objects reveal stories about the scientists and their contribution to our history. Science enthusiasts will visit Albert Einstein’s lecture hall, Marie Curie’s laboratory and Nikola Tesla’s experimental station.

“We are thrilled to bring this new line of figurines to life and to introduce a digital aspect to our product with this immersive AR app” said creator David Beaulieu. “We’ve been working on the idea of branching out from art history and into other themes for a while. For us, science was the perfect way to venture into other chapters of our history. This new brand, The Historical Figures will allow us to explore more themes in the future!”

Each PVC figurine stands at 5 inches tall and includes 10 interesting and fun facts about the character on the packaging. This project has been authorized by the respective estates of the famous scientists.
