Today Is Art Day started in 2014 as a social media feed on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Everyday, its founder David Beaulieu shares a fun story about an artwork or an artist to make art history more accessible. More than 80,000 followers are part of Today Is Art Day's community.
In 2017, Today Is Art Day launched the Art History Heroes collection of action figures depicting famous artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dali, Claude Monet, Leonardo da Vinci and many more. In 2018, the company launched its first board game called The Grand Museum of Art.
Both a social media feed and toy company, Today Is Art Day aims to bring art to its fans in ground-breaking ways.
Who is behind Today Is Art Day?
My name is David Beaulieu, I'm the art history enthusiast behind Today Is Art Day. I think that art history is way more interesting than what the majority of people think. My idea is to bring art history to the public in innovative ways such as social medias or collectible items.
You might come across me in a museum near you. I'll be the guy taking lots of pictures of famous artworks.
