Designed by Gabriel Soares, this highly anticipated art toy depicts Dutch Post-Impressionist artist Vincent van Gogh sitting on his bed.
Titled Van Gogh’s Dream, this emotional rendering of the artist encapsulates his will and efforts to achieve his biggest dream: to become an artist.
Inspired by elements of his famous Bedroom in Arles series of painting, the vinyl collectible features the artist gazing out his window, sitting on his bed after a long day of work with his shoes by his bedside.
This collectible includes the Van Gogh character, the bed and 2 shoes.
Limited edition of 5,000 units. Each piece is hand-numbered. Limit of 2 units per customer.

A NEW PROTOTYPE HAS ARRIVED
A new prototype of Van Gogh's Dream has arrived!
We are excited to share our progress in the making of the Van Gogh's Dream art toy!
This new prototype (pictured above) was made at our factory and was recently approved by the design team. This new version will serve as the reference for the molds creation.
We are now working on the 5 molds that are needed to create the 5,000 limited edition pieces. This is pretty exciting!

MEET THE DESIGNER BEHIND VAN GOGH'S DREAM
Some of his most standout work includes world-famous projects for entertainment companies such as, Warner Bros Games, Ubisoft and Sideshow Collectibles. More recently, he worked on the Netflix show Klaus, which was nominated at the Academy Award for best animated feature film in 2020, before collaborating with the streaming giant in the creation of a collectible for The Witcher series.
Success seems to follow Gabriel everywhere, with his personal creations also being recognized and featured on official museums pages and 3D modeling websites. Indeed, Artstation elected Gabriel’s work 5 times as “The best of the season” in recent years. Even now, while working full-time as a 3D modeler in the video game industry, Gabriel still finds the time and inspiration to amaze us with his beautiful creations.
In love with all his designs, Today is Art Day has partnered with Brazilian designer Gabriel Soares to create the limited-edition art toy: Van Gogh's Dream, depicting Vincent van Gogh in his bedroom in Arles.

Today is Art Day partners with designer Gabriel Soares to bring Van Gogh’s Dream to the market
April 13, 2023 - QUEBEC CITY, CANADA – Designer toy enthusiasts have a new collectible to look forward to this year: award-winning manufacturer Today is Art Day has partnered with Brazilian designer Gabriel Soares to create a limited-edition art toy depicting Vincent van Gogh in his bedroom in Arles.
Inspired by the Dutch Post-Impressionist artist and his famous Bedroom in Arles series of paintings, the vinyl collectible features the artist gazing out his window, sitting on his bed after a long day of work with his shoes by his bedside.
Titled Van Gogh’s Dream, the designer toy highlights Van Gogh’s desperate will to become an established artist, a status he will only reach years after his death in 1890.
“This design is my tribute to Van Gogh” says designer Gabriel Soares. “I have created this toy to encapsulate all of Van Gogh’s emotion and tireless efforts to become an accomplished artist,” he continues. “I’m excited to partner with Today is Art Day considering their extensive experience in developing products for art lovers and museums.”
“When I saw Gabriel’s design, I could not believe my eyes… You can feel Van Gogh’s emotion!” says David Beaulieu, Today is Art Day founder and CEO. “I immediately reached out to Gabriel so we could bring his magnificent design into a collectible piece for fans around the world”.
“I feel a bit nostalgic with this project,” Beaulieu continues. “The first product we launched in 2017 was a Van Gogh figurine. This new art toy brings back all the excitement and thrill we had when we first started!”

Gabriel Soares
Gabriel Soares is a Brazil-based conceptual artist and modeler whose talents span from watercolor to 3D modeling and from oil to digital painting. Self-taught, Gabriel developed his incredible talent all on his own, particularly by studying the works of great masters such as JC Leyendecker, Norman Rockwell and Albert Uderzo, to name only a few.
Some of his most standout work includes world-famous projects for entertainment companies such as, Warner Bros Games, Ubisoft and Sideshow Collectibles.
